Development of enterprise architecture

Development of architecture

The most important stage in the development of enterprise architecture is to define the reasons for its possession. The needs and requirements indicate the vertical scope (strategy, business processes, IT), the horizontal (organizational) and relationships between individual architecture elements. In this way we define, what information scope the organization architecture will contain. The way of conducting the organization architecture project is always adjusted to a number of factors that determine its optimal realization.

Architecture concept

The concept of organisational architecture management contains basic information on planning, building, maintaining and and improving the management of the organisation. The concept is thus a metamodel for building and managing the architecture. It contains information such as:

  • roles in architecture management
  • architecture change management
  • organisational architecture methodology

Good practices

In our projects we support our knowledge and experience with internationally recognized good practices, norms, standards and reference models using proven IT tools.

When describing processes, we primarily use standard process description methods (e.g. Value Added Chain, Event Process Chain, BPMN, Value Streem Mapping, TOGAF), but we are also open to new challenges and the needs of our customers.

Our main areas of activity

Process Mapping

This is one of our main skills which has been developed and mastered during hundreds of projects. For us, this means creating process models using ARIS tools in EPC or BPMN notation. The results are optimized business processes, which take less time and cost less.

Lean Managment

For us it is one of the methods used to improve efficiency of business processes by eliminating errors, but in our projects it is also determining the value of processes, identification of value streams and all activities in that value stream, improving flow continuity and the suction system and  finally striving for perfection.

Data Architecture

For us, it's an extension of IT architecture, that can be achieved by modeling data and its flows between applications. Here we use various diagrams like ERM, UML etc. We are supported by ARIS tools and Enterprise Architect.

Increasing IT efficiency

The description of architectural areas is not only a matter of collecting scattered information in one place, but thinking about how to organize individual elements in order to increase IT efficiency by lowering the cost of functioning or better use of existing resources. In this area we are supported not only by ARIS, but also Alphabet.

Process optimisation

It is an element of process mapping but more focused on improving efficiency of processes. Process optimization can be qualitative or quantitative, and the choice of method depends on the project objectives.

IT Architecture

Very important area for IT departments. It allows to capture in one place the complexity of a IT world through identification and inventory of applications, components, responsibilities, SLAs and much more. The best choice for this purpose is ARIS Architect, EAM (Enterprise Architecture Managment) or Alfabet.

Infrastructure Architecture

In this area, we answer the question of how our infrastructure supports IT applications. However, we do not stop there. We connect this area with processes and organizational structures to have a complete vision of IT landscape. We use Aris and Alphabet.

A bad process is better than none!
A good process is better than a bad process!
Even a good process can be made better!
